We collect only the minimum information necessary to provide our service — a free platform that helps Jewish families and communities coordinate shiva logistics.

Name and details of the deceased when creating a shiva page
Your name and email address when signing up for Mishnayos, meal coordination, or leaving a condolence
Messages and condolences you submit through the platform
Contact form submissions (name, email, and message)
Billing information if you purchase a product or service (processed securely by Stripe — we do not store card details)

Information collected automatically

Basic server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and performance monitoring
We do not use advertising trackers or sell your data to third parties

3. How We Use Your Information

To create and display shiva pages on your behalf
To send confirmation emails when you sign up for Mishnayos chapters or meal coordination
To send reminder emails before your Mishnayos commitment is due
To notify page administrators of new condolences
To respond to contact form inquiries
To process orders for gifts, flowers, or catering services
To improve the platform and fix bugs

We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell or rent your data to any third party.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (PostgreSQL), hosted on infrastructure compliant with industry-standard security practices. Emails are sent via Resend. Payments are processed by Stripe.

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Shiva Pages and Public Information

Shiva pages created on TheShivaPage are accessible to anyone with the link. The name of the deceased, shiva dates, location, visiting hours, and condolence messages are visible to all visitors of the page. Please be mindful of the information you include when creating a page.

If you are the page creator and wish to have a page removed, please contact us at info@taimlee.com.

6. Cookies

We use only essential cookies required for the platform to function (such as cart session data). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Request access to the personal information we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate information
Request deletion of your data
Opt out of non-essential emails at any time using the unsubscribe link
