Crushed to learn of the news of John Sterling’s passing. Single most responsible person for my cadence and delivery today as I learned/studied his rhythms while on busses nights in the NY-P League. My current “Bogey goes boom” call is and was an ode to John. Love you John. 🙏 https://x.com/DonOrsillo/status/2051365786649014685?s=20

John Sterling was one of one. I loved him, and I’ll always be grateful for how good he was to me throughout my career. No one loved baseball more than John. He was a true ambassador for the game, beloved and revered by everyone who knew him or heard his voice. I’ll never forget hearing him and Suzyn call games, and his incredible Hank Aaron stories. The baseball world will miss him deeply, but we will never forget him. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones. https://x.com/AROD/status/2051342120460669439?s=20
